The commanding general of Armor is against the award of Combat Armor Badge. Let your feelings be known to him e-mail bellb@ftknox5-emh3.army.mil. Jungle tankers would qualify just like Desert Storm tankers. I for one think that it would be a great emblem for trolling and snagging surfer girls at the reunion. See you at the reunion late july.

I just wanted to thank the men of the 2/34th. Armor for your timely arrival at the battle of Soui Tre at LZ Gold on March 21 1967. You guys along with the 2/22nd. Mech. Inf.saved the day. I was there with A Btry 2/77th Arty and perhaps in and other 15 minutes it would have been all over for us. I'll never forget those tanks and apc's breaking out of the jungle blasting 50 cals at the overwhelming enemy force that was about to overun us. Thank you again...
