Comments:	I am sick and tired of the 34th Armor (and tankers in general) being treated like the bastard son It is bad enough that tankers in Iraq take Russan missles in the rear, collapse bridges not strong enough to hold their vehicles and in general get no respect or acknowledgement of their service and sacrifice while others get combat badges. The latest event to piss me off is in the 4th Division IVY LEAVES publication Getting to Know You section where they are re-introducing Gen John W Vessey, Jr. It says:” His next association with the Division (4th) was in Vietnam was a lieutenant colonel serving in the 25th Infantry Division when the 3rd Brigade of the 4th Division was attached to the 25th. He commanded the 2nd Battalion, 77th Artillery of the 3rd Brigade during the Battle of Souitre (also know as LZ Gold) in March of 1967. The 3rd Brigade was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation or that Action. The two principal units in the action were the 3rd Battialion, 22nd Infantry and the 2

Comments:	Again with sadness, I must inform you of the passing of another Dreadnaught. Bruce Thornton, HQ Tanks 68-69 passed away last week. Bruce was a 3 and a half tour Vietnam veteran. His death was greatly attributed to Agent Orange. After the service, he volunteered to work with other veterans via the VA. He is survived by his wife and daughter, plus an array of family. His services were Oct. 17th and the family requests that he be remembered through donations to his grandchildren's college fund via the Key Bank at Tumwater, Washington or any other branch. We remember you Dreadnaught!

Comments:	Just got out of Tomah VMAC for treatment of PTSD. This is not the VA that we have known for the last 30 years. The people there work to help you out in so many ways. I was suffering from short term memory loss, afraid of the phone, could not understand conversations at work, increased intensity and frequency of flashbacks, fits of anger, and sleep disturbances. The doctors and social workers worked with me for 9 weeks and now life is significantly better. There is zero tolerance for booze or drugs 30 days before admission and the 9 weeks while there. Comments:	On this memorial day, i just wanted to say thanks to my dreadnaught comrades who were in Viet Nam. Remeber our mission into Cambodia? A special tribute to Cpt. Richardson and Bunyon Price who were lost on the supply Chopper--they are still listed as MIA-POWs. On that fateful day there was not room for me so I signed the top secret documents and SOI's for the mission for Cpt Richardson to take to LTC Greenberg. We never heard from them again. How can I ever say Thank you?

Comments:	Any one having any memory of C-32, C-34, and the VTR hitting mines out side of Cu Chi. around March or April 1967 I would appreciate hearing from you. C-32 hit the 1st one and blew the 1st 3 road wheels, arms, torsion bars and compensating idler and arm off the left side of the tank. There is a picture of the site in Allen Fukumoto’s year book. I am going to pursue a Purple Heart for getting blown out the loaders hatch and over SSgt Sheets and being knocked out in the process. Someone rendered medical attention to me . I need signed and notarized “buddy statements to get anywhere with the Feds. Anyone that remembers the incident please e-mail me for my home address.
