Word comes from Jayne
Stephenson in Arizona that her husband Bill died Sunday, Dec 10, 2013.
Bill served in C Co 68-69 as supply sergeant and was also the RTO on the
old man's track. He grew up in Hollywood, Cal and worked in the food
industry his adult life. Blessed be his memory.
A poem I wrote when
visiting the Viet Name Memorial with the reunion in 2003. I see my image
reflected upon, The wall and by the grace of God, My name would there be
on. As I gaze, my body trembles so, Tears spring from within my soul,
Recalling a time so long ago. How great the sacrifice gave he, That
dreadnaught soldier of the past, When my brother died for me. - Richard

Just got word from
Christa Stolt, Walter's wife that he suffered a stroke on 9/8/13. He is
not doing well. For those of you who served with or know him, Walter is
one of the best. He served as a plt. sgt. w/co.B., 69-70. He is one tough
German, but also a kind & gentle man. You can outreach to him at
firstname.lastname@example.org. I am sorry I missed you all who attended the reunion.
See you all next time around.
I just connected a couple
months ago with former B Co. 2nd Platoon, 2/34th member Terry Wray. We had
many firefights together. Unfortunately Terry had a terrible vehicle
accident in which his wife died. Terry had some serious injuries also but
will be fine. If any of you would like to reach Terry @ email@example.com...Terry
is looking for Roger Kidd also...See you at the reunion

We as veterans who went
and fought against communism and too keep our freedom had better wake up
this country is slowly but surely being takeing over by progresives and
radicals and either no one cares or no one is paying attention.Wake Up
America. The President and his followers are destroying this great nation
little by little. We can stop this as veterans we need to get together and
rally or do what ever it takes to take this country back.I worry about my
kids and grandkids future. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ralph: I was on his tank
for a brief time when I got back from the hospital on my 2nd Purple Heart.
It was a 2nd Plt tank with Lopez and Martinez. I spent a lot of time with
him at the Wash DC reunion and learned he was a grunt with Patton's 3rd
Army in WWII. That was enough for him to change his MOS to Armor. He love
tending his garden back in Calif. Gary
Received a message from
the 2nd Bn 34th Armor Association this morning that one of our old
Sergeants (Tank Commander), Sgt. Chris Garcia had passed away. He passed
away on 28 May 2013. If you have any stories or anything that you remember
about the Old Sergeant bring it out. I think he was in the the second
platoon. Am I correct? I don't think he was one of the original cadre at
Ft. Irwin. I believe he joined us later after we were in Vietnam? That's
the way I remember him? Also, when we were putting the metal barracks
together at base camp he was there in charge of building the bunkers. I
took a picture (slide) of him leaning up against a bunker that we were
building next to the metal barracks. Gentlemen, our ranks are thinning.
Last summer we lost Platoon Sgt. Henry Yanez in California. Sergeant Chris
Garcia----REST IN PEACE! Ralph Arvizu Charlie 33
Answering Don Ketels
inquiry of April 17 as of today, 9MAY13, we have 35 Dreadnaughts signed
into the October 3-6, 2013 Branson reunion. This is a good number so far,
we should approach 100 by reunion time. We had 105 at our last reunion in
Nashville in 2011. Fear God, Dread Not!
Just wandering how many
brothers are attending ther re-union. Would like to see you all that I
severed with myself and brother Dale you was kia on 4-1-1970. 1st platoon

little some of us are going to wake up one morning and say how did this
happen. We must unite and stop it before it is too late.I am up for any

nothing.I am open for ideas.Do not use computer think about it. Pat Fear
It is with deep sadness
that I have recieved an e-mail from Bob Trevision that he has been
informed of the passining of Psgt Henry Yanez, 2nd Plt, Co C,
2/34-1966-1967. He had made several reunions and we all enjoyed being in
his company. He was another father figures that got us 20 year olds
through. RIP Psgt Yanez
